Great game!  Keeps bringing me back and I love the arena and all modern.  Sometimes I see the same legacy players come through again and again but modern creates variation.  Division specific contests would be similar to your two team challenges but add to the fun with division rivalries.

Great idea! I'm actually already working on this one. Any other thoughts around getting variation without making it too difficult are always welcome.

All offense or all defense Forcing not only a team but a position Bad players and busts. Reward picking bad players. Build the strongest team or fastest team.
