Optimal Picks vs Optimal Lineup
The current “optimal” scorecard is very helpful, but another helpful way to look at it would be the optimal pick given the options available at the time of the pick.Example: 1st team up is the Patriots, they have both Tom Brady and Gronk, I take Tom Brady. 2nd team up has a great QB option but terrible TE options, so the current optimal scorecard would say that I should have taken that QB and Gronk instead of the bad TE and Brady. But I can’t go back in time with my picks. So I would like to know, given the options available to me at the time of the pick, what was the optimal choice.No need to get rid of the current optimal scorecard, just introduce a 2nd one. That would help inform decision making.
