The ability to view a teams all time roster from different eras so I can try to remember better

Right, but when it goes off someone's objective ratings you can't really have "ball knowledge" especially when his ratings constantly change
That goes against the core of the game. If you don’t remember it offhand, having a list kinda ruins the point
